  • Resources to address the need to preserve available senior units and to create new ones.

  • Innovations in housing for older adults highlighted models and resources that support older adults in maintaining their independence while successfully aging in place. These included assistive technology, the village model, and the LIFE program.

  • Community HealthChoices is an important new initiative that will have a significant impact on the delivery of long-term care services and coordination of those services to meet housing needs starting in 2020 [Roll out began in SW Pennsylvania in 2018; comes to south central PA 2020.]
  • Regional continua of care share best practices including coordinated criminal justice reentry and integrated data systems.
